WordPress Plugins Best ….one Yet

This blog alone uses 57 wordpress plugins. Not all my wordpress plugins are active because some of them do tend to slow the page load time.

Of course the best wordpress plugin that I use is the “All in one seo pack.”  Using this plugin makes it’s simple to add tags and meta data to your website.

Another powerful yet simple wordpress plugin to use would be Contest Burner. The Contest Burner WordPress Plugin is a pretty powerful plugin for getting viral traffic to your blog or website. You can see Contest Burner in action and get a feel for the viral power that this marketing contest plugin can do.

The Contest Burner wordpress plugin uses Twitter to gain massive traffic to your site.

With the plugin, you could have a simple contest on your website or a giveaway and the people who tweet about it the most could win.

There are more possibilities for this new plugin.

I was reading an article about Myspace laying off employees because of slow ad revenue and because people were flocking to Facebook.

Why MySpace Failed

  • I knew that Myspace was going to have some trouble when I would post a link to a website and big warning would pop-up telling my friends that Myspace blocked this link or that it may be a “phishing site.”
  • Social Media is about sharing. If you take sharing out of the equation, what good is a “social networking site.”
  • Another reason for Myspace #FAIL is that it  is not user friendly. It overwhelming to some people. There are flashy links, ads galore, slow load times on pages from amateur HTML copy and pasters and plenty of other bells and whistles that are not needed.
  • There blogging format sucks and will also block outbound links with a spam/phishing warning.
  • Captcha Captcha Captcha – How many times did you type that captcha word before you got it right?
  • Spammers. Blame the markerters for this one. They blew up myspace with marketing spam from everything to viagra to finding “Hot chicks in your area.”

Now Myspace caused News Corp to lose 363 million dollars. That’s what these bastards get for impeding the ability to share a link about a new chicken recipe.

A domain name is the address of your site. For example, the domain name of this site is www.dailybragger.com. A hosting plan is a service that stores your page on a big computer so that when someone types the domain name, they get to see the web page.

So where do you begin?

The best place to get a domain name is at
www.godaddy.com.
At GoDaddy you can choose a domain name, register it and begin building a page. Even if you are not a web guru, you can design your own web page for free at GoDaddy.com
. They’ll throw in a free tool just for registering a domain name.

Registering at Godaddy is easy, just follow these simple steps.

  • Go to the home page for GoDaddy.com
    , begin a search for a domain name you want to register by typing it in one of the “Domain Search” boxes on the home page. Click “Go.”
  • Select an additional domain name or multiple domain names from the options provided by GoDaddy.
  • Add to the domain name by clicking the “Yes!” button, or decline them by clicking the “Continue to Checkout” link. Create a new GoDaddy.com
    account by entering the requested personal information or log in to an existing account.
  • Hit the orange “Continue” button and double check your registration information.
  • Choose the orange “Continue” button once more and head to the checkout. Decide whether or not to add any additions to your purchase, such as account protection.
  • Pay for your domain. GoDaddy.com
    will accept payment in the form of credit, checks, PayPal and gift certificates.
