Drug Testing For Welfare – Test The CEO’s Too

Florida Drug Testing For Welfare Recipients

July 1st 2011 a new Florida law will go into effect that will require people who receive welfare to get drug tested when they apply for federal temporary assistance.  The cost of the drug screening would fall on the individual who is applying for benefits.

However, if the individual does test positive for drugs, they can designate another individual to revieve the benefits on behalf of their children.

I know this is a great idea because taxpayers shouldn’t have to fuel a drug habit. But I see the abuse already.

Grandma or another family member is going to get a bunch of money when she is designated as the individual who gets the benefits when a family member fails a drug test.

Also, what about alcohol? Alcohol is the most abused drug in this country. There is nothing from stopping someone in Florida from cashing their welfare check and hitting the liquor store.  Plus, as taxpayers, we will pay for the treatment of someone who is abusing alcohol while on welfare.

Although the law is a great idea and I’m all for drug testing people who receive taxpayer benefits you have to think…..

Were any of the company executives from the following companies drug tested when they got billions in Federal Bailout Money??? They should have drug tested every person that works for one of these companies.

If I asked the government for a billion dollars…they would definitely think I was on drugs.

Here are some of the companies that got bailout money that should be drug tested.

2012 Stimulus Checks

If I owned a bakery and didn’t sell any cakes because the people in my neighborhood didn’t have any money…why would the government give me money? Am I going to buy my own cakes? Why not give 2012 stimulus checks to the people so they can BUY my product. It’s absurd that our government gave billions to industries that had trouble selling products because their consumer’s didn’t have any money or credit.

survey

I think the government should strengthen big business and small business. What’s the best way for government to give businesses a big boost?
2012 Stimulus Checks

Give every taxpayer a big fat stimulus check for 20 thousand dollars. Yep, that’s right. $20,ooo. How will this boost businesses?

Giving a 2012 stimulus check to people for 20k would get people to spend.

I know if I had 20 grand, I would be at Best Buy or Walmart right now.

I might even put a down payment on a new car. A smart car.

Giving taxpayers 2012 stimulus checks for 20 thousand…

It would start a spending flow chain. (consumer–> business–> manufacturer–> Employees –> Consumer)

I’m still pissed off that our government gave all that money to automakers.

You can give all the money you want to the butcher, the baker and the candlestick maker, but it’s not going to get consumers to buy their products.

Bailout money and a fat 2012 stimulus check should go to the people.

We, the people, spend.

Why is the economy bad? Because people aren’t spending.

What is your take? How much should the 2012 stimulus checks be a part of the 2012 economy?

Would you want a stimulus check in 2012 for 20 grand?

Are we getting a stimulus check in 2012?

2011 – 50,000 (Fifty Thousand) Dollar Economic Stimulus Check.

The U.S. Economy is in shambles and Capitol Hill scrambles to find an answer to the problem. What can government do in order to stimulate the economy?

First off, trickle down economics doesn’t work. Back in the 80′s it worked. But since we are in a global economy the trickle down money of yesteryear wouldn’t stimulate the U.S. Economy, it would stimulate overpaid CEOs and manufacturers overseas.

What about the government bailout packages for corporations? I don’t think they will work that well. You can give all the money you want to the auto industry, but if people don’t have any money or credit to buy a car, the Automakers are still going to go under.

What is the answer to stimulating the economy? Here is the simplest solution. It’s so easy that the government wouldn’t even consider it.

The swift and prudent action would be to give each middle-class taxpayer a 2011 stimulus check of 50,000 dollars. Yes, $50,000!

This is the 2012 Economic Stimulus Check.

This 2012 stimulus check would stimulate the economy faster than you could shake a stick at it.

So how would the United States Government fund such a economic stimulus check? Easy!

  • You cease to spend tons of money a month in Iraq.
  • The country of Iraq pays the United States for the war in OIL.
  • You cut back on useless Government waste.
  • (Insert your idea in the comment section.)

So how would giving people a 50 thousand dollar stimulus check stimulate the economy? If you give the taxpayers a 50 thousand dollar 2012 stimulus check they will spend. For example, Joe The Plumber gets a check or direct deposit of 50,000 dollars. He goes to Walmart and buys a new Plasma TV. Walmart makes money on the sale, Magnavox makes money because they are selling more TVs and the employees of Magnavox and Walmart are working and making money. Joe the plumber can now watch a Cleveland Browns game and everyone is happy.

Jane, the single mom, just got her 50 thousand dollar 2012 stimulus check. She’s happier than a pig in mud. Jane needs a new car. She doesn’t want to spend her entire 50 thousand dollar economic stimulus check on a new car so she drops 5 grand down on a new GM car and finances the rest. In this example, GM is making and selling cars. GM employees are back to work. Credit is flowing again because the bank loaned Jane money for her car. The guys at the steel mill are making more steel for GM and the vendor that fills the vending machines at the steel mill is happy because people are buying the chips out of his machine.
It’s so simple. If you want to see it visually here is a chart. (Click on the image to enlarge it.)

So there you have it. Money flows, credit flows and most importantly the economy as a whole shifts into high gear all from a 50 thousand dollar a person stimulus check that the government CAN AFFORD.

Don’t like the plan? Like the plan? Comment on it!

2011 Economic Stimulus Check, When are we getting our stimulus check? When are stimulus checks being sent out? Am I getting a stimulus check in 2011? IRS stimulus check 2011 stimulus package Obama stimulus check how much is the 2011 stimulus check ? 2011 STIMULUS CHECK

How Much Does Unemployment Pay? – Costly – I Lost My Job

How Much Does Unemployment Pay? - Costly – I Lost My Job

I lost my job. Don’t feel sorry for me. I was in the technology sector and was underpaid for the amount of skills that I have. I worked hard. I was never late to work and I was employee of the month in less than a year at the company. When State laws were effecting my industry, I helped the owner of the company get signatures on petitions to get an issue on the ballot. I knocked on doors, went to other businesses and busted my but to help out the company. I thought I would grow with this company. We had a great relationship. I loved them and they loved me. I had outstanding productivity.

Jobless

Jobless

I developed ideas and strategies for the business. As time went on, the business stopped listening to its employees (their most valuable resource.) They hired consultants. After they hired consultants, I was hanging on for a year.

I knew I was going to get laid off. It was a matter of time. Especially when the HR guy calls you into his office and tells you straight to your face that “You’re not going anywhere in this company.”

(Yes, I was told that 8 months prior to getting laid off.) See, I’m not an ignorant person. I knew all about the business I was in and I surrounded myself with any and all information about the sector.

Well last Tuesday the HR guy walks in the room and calls me and two other fellow co-workers into a conference room. I knew why were called in the conference room. I was mad and happy at the same time when we were told we were losing our jobs. Mad because I was saying to myself “How could they do this to me? I’m an outstanding worker.” Iwas happy because when they said that they were giving up on thier VOD project, I was saying, “I told you so, I know you should have listened to me.”

Getting laid off was kind of a relief. I knew it was coming. It was just a matter of when. I really did not want to be at that place anymore after the HR guy told me to my face that I’ll never advance in the company. When I was insulted in HR’s office, I prepared myself and built a bunch of websites…from blogs to social networks. (I belong to over 40 social networks and I actually created one of these networks.)

How Much Does Unemployment Pay?

I’m getting 210 dollars a week from unemployment. That’s 840 a month. My cobra insurance is 704 a month. Wouldn’t you think that if you are not working, that insurance would be cheaper. Not! Let’s say that I do get COBRA..how do I pay my bills, rent, feed my kid, put gas in my car…ect?

We’ll I grew  up in an enviroment where when one door closes another door opens. So far the “other” door is ajar.

2009 Stimulus Checks, Cries for Help and Other Brags

2009 Stimulus Check – Update

A couple of months ago, I wrote an article about how the government could stimulate the economy. The solution to the economic crisis was to give each taxpayer a 50 thousand dollar 2009 stimulus check. The comments on the 2009 Stimulus Check article were amazing. If you ever get a chance, read them. some of the comments are cries for help. People are in bad shape because of the economy, while banks and big businesses get billions. I haven’t heard anything about Congress getting taxpayers together on Capitol Hill to find out what they need to be bailed out. Big business can afford lobbyists, We, The People, don’t have lobbyists.

I’m not against big business, I’m just against government putting their hands on businesses. The role of government is to protect it’s taxpaying citizens.

Auto Bailout Will Put Automakers Out of Business

The U.A.W. could have helped the auto industry. Instead, the auto industry went to Washington to get a bailout at the taxpayers expense. I don’t want my taxes going to help a business that was poorly managed and that has a greedy union. Because the auto industry is getting 15 billion of our tax dollars, I’m sure that Americans are going to retaliate.

How are Americans going to retaliate against the automakers and the autoworkers? That’s easy to answer. They’ll never buy another car made by these guys. When people go to the lot to buy a new car, they are going to make their choice based this bailout.

YOU CAN GIVE ALL THE MONEY IN THE WORLD TO THE AUTOMAKERS, BUT THAT WILL NOT GET ANYONE TO BUY A CAR.

That 15 billions should have gone to the taxpayers so that we could buy GM or American cars.  Who is going to really buy a car from a company that is mismanaged? GM has been loosing money for two reasons. 1. Nobody want to buy their cars. 2. The greed of the union squeezes every nickel they can out of the corporation

I have a strong feeling that GM is going to go under. They are eventually going to either file bankruptcy or close it’s doors forever unless the union takes a cut.  75 dollars an hour to put a screw into a bumper on the assembly line is ridiculous. Don’t get me wrong, I would love to make that kind of money for that kind of job but I wouldn’t want the company that I work for to go under because I’m making too much money.

I just don’t get it. If I have bad credit, I can’t get a loan, especially from the government. Why should these automakers get a huge loan when they are about to fail, go under and close up the shop.

I really don’t want anyone to loose their jobs, but if our government is going to bailout company after failing company, why don’t they fork over the cash to the American people and we’ll buy the cars, houses, TV, and any thing else we can to stimulate our economy.

If the answer is too easy, our government won’t see it.

Olmsted Falls School District Wants a Bailout

Line up people. Banks, car makers and your local schools want a bailout.

Olmsted Falls Superintendent Todd Hoadley said Tuesday that if automakers and big U.S. cities can ask for federal bailout money, schools should be able to follow suit. The district submitted the request to Treasury Secretary Henry Paulson and the Federal Reserve Bank of Cleveland.

Well heck, I want a bailout too. Where do I line up? I went on the U.S. Treasury’s website to look for the application, but I could not find it anywhere.

The solution to the problem is to start from the roots. Give each person a 50 thousand dollar 2009 Stimulus Check and it would help the banks, the auto industry and the schools.

It would also help me!!

Are we headed for a depression?

Personally, I don’t think we are headed for a depression. If the government can act quickly to find a way to stimulate the economy, the I don’t see a depression in the windshield. However, if you watch the network news and listen to radio shows like Glen Beck, you’ll think that the sky is falling. I was listening to the Glen Beck

show on WTAM in Cleveland and I turned it off. Mr. Beck’s show has been nothing but depressing and full of fear. I felt like I was listening to 1950′s government propaganda about a Soviet Invasion.

Bailout Bailout Bailout Government Bailout

Bailout Bailout Bailout Government Bailout

I’m really sick of hearing and reading the word “bailout.” It’s all over the TV, internet and on the back of buses in Cleveland. (Oh wait, the buses are advertising a different bailout.)

The Big Three

The Big 3 CEOs

Companies fail. There is no doubt about that. It’s a part of capitalism. Mismanage a company and your competitor takes over.

It’s time for businesses, like the auto industry, to reinvent the wheel.

People got sick of reading in the dark, so the light bulb was invented. People go sick of riding horses so the train and the automobile were invented.

Wise up America. We cannot let our money go to support the auto industry. What are they going to do with all of that money?  They are going to buy foreign steel, or invest it overseas. You can give billions to the auto industry, but it’s not going to make people like you and me buy their cars.

Give billions to the people. Contact your Representative.
