Thanks Wendee. The only reason that they let me vote with a “real ballot” was because I printed up the information from the Secretary of State's Office. When I hear the term “provisional ballot” I cringe. I know they don't count those votes until all of the information is verified by the county. That could take over two weeks. (So in my opinion after they declare a winner, your ballot still sits in a warehouse.)

This happened to me today. My name was on the list, but my DL didn't match the address. They said I could go fill out a provisional ballet at a voting place near the address on my DL. My husband found your post and sent it to me, now it's 5pm and I'm hopping mad! This was Summit County btw.

Amazing! These poll workers only work about 3 times a year. They take a two hour class and that is it.

I looked at the secretary of state's site and I talked to a board of elections official at after I voted. You can hear me talk to her at the end of the video.

I cannot believe that! I voted today and my license has my married name on it but my voter registration had my maiden name on it. The barely glanced at my ID and I was given a ballot. They should be consistant!

I saw this happen to about every 3rd voter in line today. People were leaving really upset because of it or having to use the provisionary ballots.
