Can you track your child with GPS

Tracking your child with a GPS.

You turn your back for one second at the mall, and poof… your child isn’t there. You call out there name only to find that they are in the next aisle looking at toys or hiding from you. This is the case most of time and as a father of a 7 year old, it scares me sometimes when he plays outside.

Little Buddy Child Tracker

Little Buddy Child Tracker

I was doing some reading to find if you can actually track your child with a GPS device and found out there is something out there that can track your child. It will even send you an alert via text message if they get too far away from an area.

It’s called the Insignia Little Buddy Child Tracker.

The Insignia Little Buddy Child Tracker keeps tabs on your child at all times with this small but sophisticated device that combines GPS and cellular technology to provide you with real-time location updates. The small and lightweight Little Buddy transmitter fits easily into a backpack, lunchbox or other receptacle, making it easy for your child to carry so you can check his or her location at any time using a smartphone or computer.

It has customizable safety checks allow you to establish specific times and locations where your child is supposed to be for example, in school causing the device to alert you with a text message if your child leaves the designated area during that time. Additional real-time alerts let you know when the device’s battery is running low so you can take steps to ensure your monitoring isn’t interrupted.

So the next time you want to know if there is a device that can track your child, the answer is..yes there is.

Until they come up with an implantable device that you can put into your teenage daughter, this seem to be the next best thing.

Cleveland Youth Tackle Football

I have been a football fan all my life. I enjoyed playing the sport as a youth, played it during high school and now I get to enjoy watching my son play football.  But I almost didn’t get to watch him play.  I had my son in the Cleveland Muny League for youth tackle football. Just before they were to scrimmage a team from Parma, they announced that they were going to discontinue his league for the 5,6, and 7 year olds.  My son and his team did play their scrimmage that day.

After the scrimmage, I headed over to the coach of the opposing team and asked if there were any openings on his team because Cleveland Muny League was shutting down the division due to a lack of enrollment. Without hesitation, the coach, Lee Strnad, accepted my son and his teammates and even honored the lower price we paid the muny league for the fee.

Tiny Mite Division

The next day we showed up at the practice field of the new team. The league was called the Pop Warner Southwest Seminoles. Not to disrespect the Cleveland youth football league, but the Southwest Seminoles were organized, had nice uniforms and most of all…parent participation. The parents and coaches worked in unison on fundraisers. The fundraisers were so successful that most parents were able to recover the fees that they paid and THEN SOME. (Amazing!)

I could also tell that the coaches had experience and they had the patience to take the time to work with 1st year players. This was my son’s first year at Cleveland youth tackle football.

If you want your child to play Cleveland youth tackle football, I highly recommend this league. Not only will your child learn the skills necessary to play full contact football but they will also learn:

  • Hardwork
  • Teamwork
  • Discipline
  • Sportsmanship
  • Develop friendships
  • Enhance problem solving skills
  • Get physically fit
  • and most of all HAVE FUN

If you want more information about this league, head on over to www.southwestseminoles.com This Cleveland area youth tackle football league is located in Parma, but they will take children from all over the area.

10 Great Ways to Use Facebook

10 Great Ways to Use Facebook

Some people don’t like Facebook because they just don’t know what to do when they get an account. I have friends that join over a year ago but they don’t contribute to the conversation or they just don’t get it. Here are 10 ways to use Facebook and have fun.

  1. Play some games on Facebook (Mafia Wars, Farmville, Bejeweled)
  2. Join a group. (If you have a hobby or are into a cause, there is a group for you.)
  3. Create a “fan page” for a person, place, thing or even your business

  4. Plan an event and send out invitations. (With the RSVP feature you’ll know how much food to buy.)
  5. Wish someone a happy birthday.
  6. Ask questions. (Have you seen this movie? Can anyone fix a computer?)
  7. Answer questions. (That movie was great. I can fix your computer?)
  8. Share photos, videos and links to great sites you find.
  9. Tag photos
  10. Connect with old friends. It’s cheaper than spending money at classmates.com

Gary The Numbers Guy WTAM

Everybody is an expert in something. Some people are experts in plumbing, some know how to engineer a computer program and some people are experts in numerology.  Are you looking for a free numerology reading?

Some people don’t believe in numerology, just like some people don’t believe that plumbers are experts with plumbing. “To each his own”  I say.

Now I have been following Gary The Numbers Guy for quite some time now and I have to say that he has a prediction that put the icing on the cake.

I believe it was well over a year ago when the economy was starting to crumble that Gary the numbers Guy said that; Because the dollar is falling, oil will soon be traded in another currency and not the U.S. dollar. (This quote is not verbatim but it’s close.)

Well guess what? Gary hit the nail on the head. Call it what you, will but there is truth in numbers. Don’t believe it, the story is right here.

Because gold is at an all-time high because the U.S. dollar is worthless, some of these big oil traders want to exchange gold for oil. Our money isn’t good enough.
