Obama Stimulus Package – How Much Is The 2012 Stimulus Check?

Obama’s Stimulus Package – How Much Is The Stimulus Check?

There is no definitive number on the amount of the 2011 Stimulus Check. Realistically, we could expect a 2011 stimulus check between 800 and 1000 dollars.

But what is a 2011 stimulus check really going to for you? Could you make your house payment? Could you possibly pay 2 months for rent with that 2011 stimulus check?

A 2011 stimulus check for a thousand isn’t really going to do anything to stimulate the economy.

The ultimate solution and ultimate dollar amount for a 2011 stimulus check would be 50,000, yes fifty grand.  I know this may sound ridiculous, but with this amount you would stimulate the economy in no time.

Last year, I wrote a blog about how much the 2011 stimulus check should be. Check it out. It’s an idea, but if you have a better idea, feel free to leave a comment.

Honestly, Bailout the People – 2009 Stimulus Check

Sorry for such a small blog post, but wouldn’t you rather have our government bailout the taxpayer rather than the businesses?

Bailout - 2009 Stimulus CheckHow are these businesses going to make any money unless people have the money to buy a car.

That’s like giving money to a business that doesn’t exist anymore.

“Hey we know that you aren’t selling cars but we’ll give you money so you can keep the lights on in the factory. By the way, we’ll give you the money even though people don’t have the money to buy your product.”

GREAT IDEA….Why not give the bailout money to the people so that they can buy the cars.

Go Obama – Yes We Can. – 2009 Stimulus Package

A day after celebrating his historic inauguration, President Barack Obama spent his first full day in office instituting policies that “represent a clean break from business as usual.”

The Obama administration announced salary freezes for White House employees making over $100,000 a year, placed new limits on lobbyists’ White House access and had aides circulate a draft executive order that would close the detention center at Guantanamo Bay within a year.

Now, I don’t know about closing “Gitmo” but he’s doing good for the first day on the job.

Okay, I know I like to dream big.

To this day, I still believe that in order to stimulate the economy, car manufactures and housing markets, you have got to put some big dollars into the hands of the American People.

Heroes – A Pilot and a Social Network.

A couple of heroes this week. A Vietnam Veteran and a social network.

Police and fire personnel put up with some amazing things. Their work goes unrecognized. Kudos to them.

Earlier this week, a routine flight from New York to Charlotte almost turned fatal when some Canadian geese flew directly into the jet’s engines.  The engines, unable to handle the impact shut down. The pilot was basically flying a glider.

The control tower told the pilot to head to another airport. The pilot, who knew he couldn’t make it, lined up his plane with the Hudson River in New York City and landed the plane on water. No deaths, just minor injuries.

Captain Chesley B. “Sully” Sullenberger was hailed as a hero around the world for saving all 155 passengers and crew on the US Airways flight bound for Charlotte, North Carolina.

This pilot is a hero. America needs a hero now more than ever. It seems when America, is down we look for heroes and things to make us feel better.

On another note.

Twitter.com got a lot of press from the Hudson River incident. One of the first pictures to surface from the Hudson River was from a twitter user.

The picture was taken by Twitter user Janis Krums, who posted the picture to Twitpic. He was on the scene before the TV cameras arrived and was able to inform Twitter users that people had survived and that rescuers were trying to pick them up (“There’s a plane in the Hudson. I’m on the ferry going to pick up the people. Crazy.”)

There was more Twitter information, too. Plane-related tweets accounted for eight of the 10 top “trending topics” (Hudson River, MSNBC, US Airways, LaGuardia, etc.) Clicking through to them led to reactions from thousands of concerned people, and brief updates from some of them about what had happened, including references to reports that everyone had survived and that officials believed a flock of birds had been sucked into — and thereby disabled — two of the plane’s engines during takeoff.

Google News had nothing at that early stage, and even Google Hot Trends — which serves a similar function to Twitter’s trending topics — had nothing on crash at first.

Of course, both of these Google services and the mainstream media will catch up. But during the plane crash, Twitter was on the scene right away, and caught many details before any other media outlet or major online service.

How do I find my niche? Help For Finding Your Niche.

How do I find my niche?

You want to start a website or blog but you keep asking yourself “How Do I Find My Niche?” or “What should I write about?”

If you have been following my The Daily Bragger for a while, you’ll notice I don’t have a specific niche. That’s okay. A few years ago I was watching an interview from a popular blogger and when he was asked about giving advice to a new blogger he said, “Just write, and eventually your niche would come out.”

If you start a blog or website, just write and post what you feel or what you know. Eventually you’ll find that most of your blog’s articles will start to take on some sort of niche.

Okay, after reading this advice you’re still asking, “How do I find my niche?” Here are a few ways to help you find your niche.

  • Do you have a hobby? If you are passionate about model rockets or dolls, a hobby is always a great niche. There are plenty of people that want to read what you write about when it comes to any hobby.
  • What do you find yourself researching all the time. What subjects are you looking at most on wikipedia? Do you follow politics? Do you have an opinion on current events?
  • Get a notebook and write down a list of 50 things you love to do or talk about. (i.e. hiking, biking, fishing, celebrity gossip, soap operas, teaching, you get the idea)
  • Write why your friends or coworkers ask you for advice. (relationship advice, shopping advice, tax advice, etc.

These are just a few tips to help you find your niche. Also, you can hit up your local library and get a couple books that will help you dig deeper when if comes to finding your niche.

Taxes – Refund Anticipation Loans – RAL

You have seen the commercials. “Do your taxes here and get your refund in minutes.” Not so fast now. A friend of mine went to a popular tax service to get up to a thousand dollars based on their 2009 estimated tax refund. My friend was getting back almost 5,000 dollars. Excited and happy that this was their estimated tax refund, my friend couldn’t wait to get a thousand dollar refund anticipation loan. My friend, who had Good Credit Is Badgood credit didn’t qualify. They didn’t even qualify for a 50 dollar refund anticipation loan.

So what was the problem? The problem is that the bank that issues the RAL or refund anticipation loan tightened the restriction on getting the loan. That means that the thousands of people that want to get refund anticipation loans are going to get denied because of the current economic situation.

The banks just got a 750 million dollar bailout but they don’t want to loan out any of that money. I think they are sitting on the interest.

So if you plan on getting a refund anticipaion loan from your favorite tax preparer, don’t get too excited. If my friend has good credit and couldn’t get one of the easiest loans, then you probably won’t get one either.

The only places offering any loans, believe it or not, are payday loan establishments.

2009 Stimulus Checks, Cries for Help and Other Brags

2009 Stimulus Check – Update

A couple of months ago, I wrote an article about how the government could stimulate the economy. The solution to the economic crisis was to give each taxpayer a 50 thousand dollar 2009 stimulus check. The comments on the 2009 Stimulus Check article were amazing. If you ever get a chance, read them. some of the comments are cries for help. People are in bad shape because of the economy, while banks and big businesses get billions. I haven’t heard anything about Congress getting taxpayers together on Capitol Hill to find out what they need to be bailed out. Big business can afford lobbyists, We, The People, don’t have lobbyists.

I’m not against big business, I’m just against government putting their hands on businesses. The role of government is to protect it’s taxpaying citizens.

My Personal Brag of the Week.
