Doesn’t Danny Gokey Look Just Like Robert Downey Jr

So I watched American Idol tonight. I saw this one kid named Danny. He made it into the top 36. I was puzzled for a minute and was wondering who Danny Gokey looked like.
Then after watching a commercial for Coke (how apropo) it hit me like a brick.
Danny Gokey looks just like Robert Downey Jr.

If you’ve heard RD Jr’s album The Futurist, you may notice that Danny sounds a bit like him as well. What kind of weirdness is going on here?
I thought there was a resemblance, but I didn’t realise how strong until now. I think if he wins, Robert Downey Jr should play him in a movie. Wouldn’t that be awesome!
You hit it on the head. And the ad for Coke–very funny. I’m glad Danny mae the top three. He does have a good voice and a decent personality.
Without a doubt, he looks amazingly like Robert Downey, Jr. The same charisma as well.

do you know i lost sleep over this; trying to figure out who he looked like! okay. total exaggeration. but he really does look just like him. it’s everything!!
I thought i was the only one who thought that! First time i seen dude on that show I thought he looked like Downey Jr. Im glad we have internet, I knew there was others that thought the same thing
I thought that from the first time I saw him..he even wears the same glasses in “A Scanner Darkly”
How apropos that you were watching a commercial for coke, because that seeminly innocuous fun drink that is hyped for kids to down, is one of the major entry points for their nervous systems and immune functions to break down.. requiring more and more stimulants to function and downers to become less hyper, and it is only a hope skip and jump to hard core legal and illegal drugs like coke, and prozac, valium, yada yada. Late in the season, as he lost weight, Gokey looked more and more like the clean beautiful Young Robert Downey Jr, before the drugs stole his amazing looks. What a waste of an incredibly sensitive and talented man. Lucky for us that , Gokey has a strong Christian Faith and a loving Family who has always supported him, and he can get up in front of millions of people, and feel comfortable in his own skin, and doesn't need drugs to perform. This way he can keep his good looks well into his senior years. Unlike many musicians who seek to express themselves in music, as they are too shy otherwise, and don't feel free enough to perform without them. What a shining example this Gokey is. I only wish that Robert Downy Jr. finds himself and finds that kind of self esteem, that only a truly good man who comes from a clean heart space can.

When I first heard Danny sing, I wasn’t really watching. I was doing something else. But by then I already heard Robert’s whole album and then I was like, “Hey, Robert’s the guest tonight?” and they all laughed then I looked at the screen and was just confused. I was like, “What’s so funny? It’s Robert!” I said and they kept on laughing. My brother was like, “Look harder.” And then that’s when I dropped dead. “DANNY GOKEY????”
